The director-general of the CENTAC, Juan Luis Quincoces, visited Elche on March 25 to present ACCENTAC, an application that allows persons with diverse limitations of mobility or comprehension to be able to do a more comfortable visit of the MAHE or of the Center of Congress. The CENTAC is the Spanish Center of New Technologies for the Accessibility, participated by the Department of Social matters and LA ONCE among others, and with support of Vodafone Foundation, El Corte Ingles and Telefonica. The application ACCENTAC allows people to have a perception of every building in 3D and 2D, according to the type of limitation of the user, as well as in sign language for deaf visitors. This accessibility technology will be shortly available for the visits to the Artistic Garden and the Huerto Del Cura Hotel , already linked with facilities nowadays, making use of ramps, restrooms adapted to wheelchair and even an accessible web to diverse disabilities so that these clients with mobility limitations are free to search the hotel in the Internet, in accessible code (www.nativehotels.eu) and multi-language. In addition to the mentioned buildings and Garden, the application ACCENTAC has already indexed in this system the Alhambra in Granada, the Mosque of Cordova and the most important museums in Madrid.
